This item has been inspected for flaws and you can expect as described in the area labeled "Overview". Re-live the late 80s with this completely restored Game Boy Original with a built in LCD screen! It plays, looks and feels the way it did almost 30 years ago, but with a modern twist.

We make and modify each one of our Game Boys with the highest quality parts and the outmost care to guarantee our customers have a positive experience. Please keep in mind that this listing does not included batteries, games, cables, manuals or inserts.

What makes this console special? This console has been modified with various upgrades to the screen, lens, buttons, and even the exterior plastic shell!

An IPS LCD V3 screen with multiple color modes (to toggle push down on the contrast knob on the left side of the console). This LCD is extremely bright, vibrant, and allows for longer playing times with less energy strain on the batteries (when compared to the original DMG dot matrix screen). This screen also allows you to play in pitch dark settings. New button rubbers that give the buttons their original crisp feeling when pushed down. A New speaker with clean audio.

In our effort to truly make this console brand new, we have replaced the old exterior plastic shell with a brand-new aftermarket shell. This way your console will arrive completely void of scratches, yellowing (discolorations), dirt, grime and any kind of residue. Like the original, we will also install a Nintendo service sticker on the back of the battery cover. We have also installed a glass screen lens. This lens sits on top of the screen protecting it against damage.

Although the original Game Boy did not come with a glass lens, we highly recommend it due to the fact that it offers more protection against scratches and a clearer view of gameplay on the Dot Matrix screen.
