Nintendo Game Boy Color McWill LCD modified (HIGH QUALITY DISPLAY) + 1W speaker upgrade. Condition is New (the mod is new). Modified by CALAXO CONSOLES , this is a very good quality Nintendo Game Boy Color modified with a new McWill LCD display. This is a very high quality, modern, vibrant, back-lit display mod which has been designed specifically for the Game Boy Color.

If you are unfamiliar with this LCD mod, search on Google to find out more. Although the LCD pictures in this listing look great, it really is better than this in reality ---- ITS AMAZING!!! In my opinion it totally transforms the GBC and makes the GBC a much more playable and enjoyable handheld!! This GBC has also been modified with a 1W speaker upgrade.

This is louder than the original 0.5W speaker, and is a high quality component. The Game Boy itself in in very good condition, with a new screen cover and very few slight marks on the casing.

The buttons all work fine, and the sound is loud and clear. In addition to a new screen cover, I have cleaned the GBC inside and out --- it looks great!

Please note that these are expensive and high quality modifications which require a degree of skill, knowledge and experience to install and test, hence the asking price. I have modified several Game Boy Colors now with these mods, and therefore have significant experience in performing the mods and in testing.

Please also note that, since this LCD screen is back-lit, it draws more power than the original Game Boy Color. When using older batteries from a "cold start", it may be necessary to switch on and off a couple of times, as the capacitors need to charge. THIS IS NORMAL OPERATION OF THE MOD AND NOT A FAULT.
