Shantae for Game Boy Color (enhanced for Game Boy Advance). So, this is where it all started. Assuming you ignore the heavy Wonder Boy influence of course. These guys surely grew up playing Wonder boy III The Dragon's Trap on the Sega Master System, and it's a good thing they did because Shantae is just a lovely, lovely little game. When it came out on the Game Boy Color, nobody knew what it was, it was a late GBC release, and even though it had the Capcom publishing logo plastered on the front of the box, they didn't make many, hence today's price.

Which is sort of a shame, but then again, it makes it feel more special, especially given that Shantae has grown into a well-known and loved series of games on more modern consoles and despite their 3D capabilities, still retains that hand-drawn Aladdin style it started with WayForward probably played Aladdin on the Sega Genesis too, I reckon! Or maybe the Capcom one on the SNES. Basically, they don't make'em like they used to. Except they do with Shantae. I wish there were more games like this.

Overall very good condition but see pictures for full details: ACTUAL ITEM PICTURED. Everything is original to the game except for the white cardboard inner tray, which is still an original Nintendo item, just one taken from a UK / European PAL game. Basically we bought it without one and we don't sell many USA / NTSC-UC Game Boy Color games, so we just added what we had. If we unearth one before we sell the game, we'll change it ourselves.

The box, instruction manual / booklet and cartridge are all original. Battery has been tested and works as-of October 2020 but it's still on its original battery so we can't say how long it will last. Given the value, you're welcome to collect the game from our Games Galaxy store. N ote that we only ever crop our photos. You can see full-size and uncompressed photos on our website. We'll pack the game really well with lots of bubble wrap inside a good box and then we'll wrap that boxed package inside more bubble wrap and put it inside another box for extra protection. If you have any specific packaging requirements other than this, let us know. Resizing is bad enough but compression affects images with strong colours in particular. This makes it hard to see the true condition and we've made a lot of effort to show how the game really looks and how authentic it is.
