Nintendo Gameboy Color Light GBC CGB-001: Modded w/ Backlit LCD & More. This kit comes from an original GBC. I've replaced the speaker, the screen, shell, glass, buttons, and I cleaned out the motherboard.

This console is seriously everything I dreamed of as a kid. The screen comes from Bennvenn, a small team of developers and modders from Australia. The screen comes with another front glass that has a smaller square, but I chose to add the pokemon screen to maintain a theme. This is the reason you'll see the silver margins on the sides. The circuitry on the screen has the option to add brightness control, but it's something I wanted to leave up to you.

The freckleshack offers many advantages over others. Battery life, console life, no buzzing, exceptional visibility during day and night. By far one of the best ones I've seen or used. The shell has a VERY small crack by the power switch, and the screen has a miniscule smudge as seen on the pictures.

They both were delivered to me in that condition. Regarding the screen, you'll lose sight of it once you start the game. Now on to the Pokémon Crystal game.

This is my childhood cartridge. I replaced the battery, and the game works. However after going further into the game, I got a "corrupted save" message.

I've started the game again, and got close to the elite 4 and again got the message when I tried to start the save data. I'm including the game as part of the theme, and in hopes that you have a better chance of fixing it than I did. Please don't judge me for it's condition, I had a younger sibling lol.
